Ripple E-Business International, Inc. (RPL) was incorporated on November 21, 2000 to establish, operate, develop, manage and provide software solution projects and related businesses as well as to engage in trading of computer hardware and software products. RPL started commercial operations in January 2002. RPL has developed, marketed and deployed a retail sales and inventory Merchandise Management Solution (MMS) business software named "Barter(TM)" to a number of retail and distribution companies. Barter(TM) MMS has a set of features, functions and capabilities comparable to software products from foreign software companies. As a locally developed product however, Barter(TM) is more cost effective than its imported counterparts both in terms of software license fees and support service charges. The company also provides project management, training and implementation services and follow-on support (maintenance) agreements. RPL is also a reseller of IBM point-of-sale systems and related peripherals as well as other third party computer hardware and software products that complement its primary software application product Barter(TM) and those required by retail business operations.
