Padre Pio Bahay Kalinga, started with a lot of love and life stories of 7 friends who are family oriented and grew up in a typical Filipino family who took care of relatives especially our dear grandparents.

We conceptualized our Bahay Kalinga two years ago when we talked about our experiences regarding caregiving. Being caregivers ourselves we were widely exposed to care setting practices here in the Philippines. Unsatisfied with what we had seen and observed, it urged us to build our own ideal facility conducive for elderly health promotion and maintenance. A year later, we decided to sit down and concretize our Padre Pio Bahay Kalinga for Elderly Care. On August of 2012, we had our first meeting to start our feasibility study. We did our brain storming and finalize our envisioned home care. This was followed by a regular Friday night meetings to formulate and itemized details needed to officially open our care home. We painstakingly searched for the perfect location for our dream home. God led us to a 470 sq.m lot area with 300 sq.m floor area house in a subdivision here in our hometown Marikina City. Friends who share the same vision joined us to be our Doctors, Nurses, Medical Technologist, Physical Therapists, Psychologist, Accountants, Management and Information Technology experts to help make our vision and mission a reality.
