Marisa’s Silvanas & Sans Rival was conceived from the kitchen of Maria Isabel Mercado Consunji, about 25 years ago. Hailing from the province of Pampanga, she was very much into cooking and baking. To help sustain her family, Marisa thought of venturing into selling baked products. Among her specialties were chocolate cake, silvanas and sans rival. Her neighbours, the nearby stores, and offices were some of her early patrons.

Because of her expertise in producing perfectly baked silvanas and sans rival, she was tapped by one of the biggest bakeshops in the country to supply these products to them. And so her small backyard business gradually expanded to meet the demands of her top client. This partnership began in 1988 and lasted until 2012.

Today, Marisa’s Silvanas & Sans Rival has taken a big leap by opening its doors directly to its customers. Now managed by Marisa’s children, it continues to produce deliciously baked products using Marisa’s original recipes. Customers can look forward to the same buttery goodness, as loved over the years.
