In early 2002, Governor Villafuerte instituted the Camarines Sur Medical Transcription Center (CSMTC) as the first ever government-owned transcription center in the Philippines. Being active in transcription business, the center is an affiliate of the Medical Transcription Industry Association of the Philippines, Inc (MTIAPI).

The company was established to address the growing need for medical Transcription outsourcing by providing quality service at very low rates and to provide additional and quality job opportunity for qualified residents of the province. In addition, CSMTC abides by the regulations/standards set by HIPAA.

In fulfillment of its commitment, the company has commissioned only the
most qualified and highly competent medical transcribers with at least 2 years of work experience in medical transcription educated in the fields of Physical Therapy and Nursing. CSMTC currently specializes in transcribing all kinds of medical reports with a turn around time of 12 hours and an accuracy rate of 98.5%.
