The Mareco Broadcasting Network, Inc. (MBN Inc.) has made its debt in the radio industry in 1963. Its first station, DZBM-AM, originally served exclusively as a non-commercial promotional venue for Mabuhay Recording Company's (MARECO) Mabuhayt and Villar record labels. Mareco eventually became the exclusive local license for over a hundred major international recording companies, and because of this, DZBM consistently topped the surveys at the time.
