South Spot is a 24-hour cable television channel that features programs spotlighting Mindanao and its different facets. The channel will also have programs that will showcase areas neighbouring Mindanao, including countries like Indonesia and Malaysia.
The channel was created in response to a growing need for alternative cable TV programming that will cater to the tastes and interests of Mindanao viewers. With largely Mindanao-based content, South Spot seeks to draw attention to the beauties and bounties of the region, its local affairs, people, products, and talents.
Programs range from the informative to the entertaining, including community service programs and magazine shows on music and lifestyle. The programs are mostly locally-produced and will feature local talents.
Sporting a variety of programs, the channel’s audience will encompass diverse age brackets and social classes, but specifically targeting the A and B market.
