We believe that each individual has the right to be treated with dignity, love and respect in a humane and caring atmosphere alleviated from pain and suffering and to live life to the fullest inspite of their chronic and terminal illness.”

Vision: “A self-sustained, self-empowered volunteer organization that has committed its service to provide the “Best Quality of Life possible” that complements medical treatment to patients with chronic and terminal illness (cancer and non-cancer) and offer holistic support to their families throughout patient’s illness through VOLUNTARISM.”

Palcare is composed of people who want share their time, knowledge, resources, skills and talents in order to make a difference in other people’s lives. The volunteers are a part of a hospice team along with physicians, nurse clinicians, social workers who visit patients in the wards or in their homes for medical assessment and management, companionship and emotional support, social visits, bedside care, practical support, sourcing for patient needs and training of manpower, assistance in organization and provision of education and training sessions, social and civic endeavors and advocacy. The hospice visits are under the supervision of the program coordinator and the volunteer coordinator.
