REGINA ANGELORUM SCHOOL Overview

MISSION:
To provide a strong academic foundation for all students to excel, while ensuring a safe, supportive, and caring environment in partnership with families and the community.

VISION:
RAS students utilize fundamental and higher level thinking skills to achieve academic success. Students are respectful, self-disciplined, conscientious, and motivated members of society.

We believe that students need a learning environment that provides them with the strongest opportunity for academic and personal success.

By selecting RAS, parents, students, and staff are responsible for and committed to supporting the programs, upholding standards, and following the policies of the school.


ELEMENTARY SCHOOL MODEL:
Traditional Academy

PreK-3 students are taught independence, citizenship, and personal responsibility for their learning. Priority is given to the fundamental tools of learning in the core academic areas of phonics and reading; grammar; spelling and writing; mathematics; social studies; and science.


MIDDLE SCHOOL MODEL:
A Leadership Academy

4-6 students at RAS will lead their own learning through ongoing progress checks, data notebooks and developing effective habits in their lives to positively impact learning.

Students’ talents are fostered, highlighted and developed while students take ownership in their learning. In addition, students use data to set attainable goals, interpret areas of need/strengths and track their progress.

Leadership Academy involves preparing children with 21st century skills by fostering:

RAS HIGH SCHOOL MODEL:
A College Prep Academy

This academy holds higher standards and expectations that all RAS students can learn at an accelerated level and be high achievers in a college preparatory environment. Flexible support systems will use technology and other highly effective instructional techniques along with counseling to support students as they work towards these high level educational goals.
