Definition: CAPIZTA is an invitation for a communion and celebration through poetry because of a successful rebirth and rising-up from a partial and temporary defeat. It comes from "CAPIZ" the name of a province and "TA" slang or jargon that suggests invitation, hospitality and companionship. In the cultural point of view, it suggests communion or community which further suggests fiesta and/or celebration. II. Objectives: 1. To encourage people, especially those at calamity stricken areas, to look at the positive side of things 2. To gather various opinions/ ideas on the effects of the super typhoon Yolanda to the CapiceƱos 3. To highlight the CapiceƱos' resiliency and culture of community and bayanihan 4. To promote artistic and nationalistic sides 5. To encourage students to be conscious of and participative on the country's struggle against disaster and climate change 6. To encourage young Filipinoes to embrace Filipino culture as the wellspring of national and global well-being 7. To encourage high school students to look at culture as pilar of sustainable development, advance creativity and diversity of artistic expression and promote a strong sense of nationhood and pride of being Filipino through culture and arts. III. Procedure: 1. Invite high school students and officials to join in the CAPIZTA Poetry Contest 2. Disseminate objectives and rules of the contest 3. Select the top eight (8) written entries and notify/ invite the authors for the staging or delivery of the poems 4. Conduct a program wherein the authors deliver their poems and people witness 5. Select and award winners based on the contest rules 6. Publish the top eith (8) entries and name of sponsors IV. Budgetary Requirements 1. Information dissemination 2.
