Formally started operation in February 2006 and has since accepted some sub-con and direct accounts on medical and legal transcription. OTSI, with its own initial 20 seats, is affiliated with a Baguio consortium of MT companies, namely: Digidocs, Synapse Systems and Benguet Information Exchange. This union translates to a total of 56 workstations per shift. For operational ease, all affiliates are located in one building and comply strictly with HIPAA regulations.

To address the shortage of qualified MTs, OTSI operates its own TESDA-recognized training center. Located in Las Pinas City, OTSI Medical Transcription Institute has developed its own course curriculum (based on the basic course structure provided by TESDA and AAMT) and teaching method and currently shares this system with several other MT training centers.
