The UP-AYALA TECHNOPARK is an academe-industry collaboration that features a network of SMITEs (small and medium IT enterprises) co-located in a PEZA declared information and technology zone in UP Diliman Campus, Quezon City. The facility exists in a dynamic environment where interaction, innovation and entrepreneurship are encouraged via idea exchange, shared access to human resource and information and collaboration.

Its support structure includes a Java Research and Development Center (JRDC), a tool room and incubating facility for student and sme projects using java and open source technology. The stakeholders are Mirant Foundation, Sun Microsystems, University of the Philippines and Ayala Foundation.

The virtual support network of the UP-AYALA TECHNOPARK includes the Brain Gain Network (BGN), a diaspora network of scientists who can be tapped as mentors in various project collaboration.
